Patrick C. Fant, III
Mr. Fant is a founding member of Fant & Gilbert Law Firm, P.A. after spending ten years concentrating exclusively on workers’ compensation defense cases. Having spent most of his legal career in workers’ compensation, Mr. Fant has defended matters before the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Commission for both the self-insured and insurance companies as well as successfully handled appeals before the Full Commission and Appellate Court of the State of South Carolina. Mr. Fant has represented clients in various industries including manufacturing, state and municipal services, health care, financial, retail and food processing. Mr. Fant’s litigation claims have included repetitive trauma, heart attacks, mental stress, permanent brain damage and complex occupational exposures involving asbestos and chemicals.

Jeffrey R. Gilbert
Mr. Gilbert is a founding member of Fant & Gilbert Law Firm, P.A. bringing ten years of workers’ compensation defense litigation experience at the trial and appellate levels. Mr. Gilbert’s litigation claims have included denied accidents, heart attacks, alleged mental stress, medical causation issues, occupational diseases, coverage issues, statutory employment issues, Second Injury Fund recovery and alleged sexual harassment. Mr. Gilbert is presently serving pro bono as Assistant to the Office of Disciplinary Counsel to investigate attorney grievance matters on behalf of the South Carolina Supreme Court.

Wesley J. Shull
Mr. Shull is an associate with Fant & Gilbert Law Firm, P.A. joining the firm in 2004. He exclusively represents insurance companies and self-insured companies in workers’ compensation matters including compensability and permanency hearings, appeals to the Full Commission and Circuit Court, and claim resolution.
